Close-up magician, cabaret artiste and compere.

Laura London has created quite a unique presence for herself in the world of professional magicians. Her ability to mix naturally with any level of the public and any age group combined with her natural intelligence and enquiring mind have made her an instant success.

Laura’s interest in magic started when she was only 10 years old, when, as a birthday present, she was given her first few magic tricks by a family friend who was a professional magician and at that moment Laura decided that her ambition was to become a professional magician too.
Just one week after her 18th birthday, she passed her entrance exam for the Magic Circle making her the youngest girl ever to do so. As a result of all her hard work her career took off like lightning.

Within 6 months of becoming professional in 2003, she landed her first TV series, ‘Playing Tricks’ – a 10 part street based youth series featuring Laura as the only girl amongst 6 young magicians made by part of Endemol for Trouble TV. Her other TV credits include called The Magic Party for BBC Northern Ireland and Children In Need and ‘Penn and Teller Fool Us’ on ITV1.

Laura magical skills appeal to a wide range of audiences in an eclectic mix of venues including those such as Buckingham Palace as part of the Queen’s 80th birthday celebrations, Download Festival for the celebrities back stage, at events in Miami, New York and Tokyo for Virgin Atlantic’s top clients, at London’s Love Box Festival, on cruises for Princess and Holland America and at parties at London’s Globe Theatre. Other clients include Formula 1 Motor Racing, Cass Business School, Porsche, Universal Records, Kempinski Hotels in Dubai and Geneva, Soho House, The Lady Taverners, DKNY, Champneys, Bentley’s Entertainments and Warner Brothers. Other festival appearances inlcude Glastonbury, Sonisphere and SFX. She also holds residencies at top London venues including the Roof Garden, Little Italy and Frankies

Anyone who knows London’s thriving cabaret scene will have seen Laura either compering, performing her magical cabaret or amazing close up, sometimes a combination of all three at club nights such as La Reve at the Café de Paris, Bęte Noire at Madame Jo Jo’s and with her own show Fantastique at Proud Cabaret. At Christmas 2010 she was the magical ringmaster at the Big Top in Bloomsbury Square. Her show ‘Around the World in 80 Minutes’ debuted in 2012 where she is joined by some of London’s best cabaret artists in this tongue in cheek and entertaining variety tribute. Laura has even produced and hosted her own variety cabaret show at the Magic Circle – an absolute first for such a traditional establishment and an absolute sell out.
