Only 24 Laura London is has already made a big mark in the world of professional magic.
Her interest in magic started when she was only 10 years old, when, as a birthday present, she was given her first few magic tricks by a family friend who was a professional magician and at that moment Laura decided that her ambition was to become a professional magician too. She also went to study at the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School so that she could learn more skills to help her fulfil her dream.
Her ability to mix naturally with any level of the public and her natural intelligence and enquiring mind have made her an instant success.
She is the youngest girl to have joined the Magic Circle, passing her entrance exam just one week after her 18th birthday. As a result of all her hard work her career is taking off like lightening.
Within 6 months of becoming professional in 2003, she landed her first TV series, ‘Playing Tricks’ – a 10 part street based youth series featuring Laura as the only girl amongst 6 young magicians made by part of Endemol for Trouble TV. She has recently filmed a show for BBC Northern Ireland called The Magic Party where along with a DJ she researched everything about a party host and then they went in and performed as surprise guests in the style of the event.
To date Laura has performed at many prestigious corporate events and private parties for clients such as NCH, Dreamflight, Sporting Chance Clinic, Cass Business School, BAE Systems, Selfridges, The Lady Taverners, MAF Dubai, RSVP, Porsche, Charles Hyundi, Champneys, Buena Vista, Warner Brothers, Universal Records, DKNY and Her Majesty the Queen at venues such as the Guildhall, Grosvenor House, Kempinski Mall of the Emirates, Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva, Langan’s Brassiere, The Magic Circle, Shepherds Restaurant, Savoy, Dorchester, Radisson Heathrow, Hilton Park Lane, NEC, Hyde Park Hotel, Soho House, The Century Club, Metropole Hilton and Buckingham Palace. Laura even had the great thrill of performing in New York’s ‘off Broadway’ at a New Years Eve event.
Always an entrepreneur, Laura has organised a special charity event at The Garage in Highgate in aid of 2009 ‘Children in Need’, and coerced many of her magical and musical friends to take part free of charge including TV’s cult maigical duo Barry and Stuart.
Laura has a residency at Marco Pierre White’s Knightsbridge family restaurant ‘Frankies’ where she is great favourite with all the guests great magic some of which she has created herself and her super inventive costumes and her stand-up show is one of the regular highlights at the supper club Volupte.
